Website Builder Pricing by Country (2026)

By the WBF Editorial Team · Website Builder Finder — Updated July 2026

Most "best website builder" articles quote a single US dollar price and stop there. But website builders don't just convert their US price at the exchange rate — they set separate local prices for different countries, and those prices often don't line up the way a simple currency conversion would suggest.

We built this page from our own pricing scraper, the same one that powers the live local pricing in our finder tool. Below is what Wix, Squarespace, and Shopify actually charge in six countries — not currency-converted estimates, but the prices each builder itself displays to visitors in that region.

Data below was captured directly from each builder's pricing page in June 2026. Prices change over time — use this as a comparative snapshot, not a live quote. For a current local price, our finder tool fetches pricing in real time based on your detected country.

Mid-tier plan pricing by country

This table compares each builder's mid-tier plan — the tier most small business and portfolio sites actually choose (Wix Core, Squarespace Core, Shopify Basic) — in local currency, per month, billed annually.

What the data actually shows

Wix uses the same face-value number across the US, UK, Canada, and the Eurozone. Its Core plan is priced "29" regardless of whether that's dollars, pounds, Canadian dollars, or euros. Since these currencies have different purchasing power, that means the real cost is highest in GBP terms and lowest in CAD terms, even though the number on the page looks identical. In India and Japan, Wix instead sets a distinct local number (₹2,900 and ¥2,900) rather than reusing 29.

Squarespace prices independently per market rather than reusing one number. Its UK price (£17/month for Core) is meaningfully lower than a straight USD-to-GBP conversion of its $23 US price would suggest — a real example of a builder pricing more competitively in a specific market rather than just passing through the exchange rate.

Shopify's pricing varies the most by country of the three, with its Canadian price (CA$45/month) sitting well above a simple conversion of its US price, while its UK and EU prices (£19 / €19) are priced lower in nominal terms than the US figure. This is the clearest example in our data of genuine country-specific pricing strategy rather than currency pass-through.

Coverage gaps are real and disclosed. Squarespace does not publish separate list pricing for Germany or India at checkout in the markets we scraped — visitors there are typically shown the equivalent of the US or UK price. We show "no local pricing found" rather than guess.
